I am metamorphizing
I am becoming goo
becoming goo
goo
becomes butterfly
it is sticky muddled mushy gross
organs raw blood stinky
goo enclosed
imagines death in fresh air
caterpillar; though it comprises it,
cannot be will not be found in the goo
despite searching
scientists have always wondered how and if it hurts
this state of unbeing liquification
an undeath but also not alive . .. perhaps?
it does.
but someday
I will be a butterfly.
